Pet Surgery

While pet surgery can be a stressful topic, many cats and dogs will need to undergo surgery at least once. We primarily use surgery to treat acute and chronic problems, in addition to preventing certain issues, such as cancer or infections, from developing.

At Belton Small Animal Clinic, we perform a variety of surgical procedures with precision and care. Furthermore, we place patient safety and pain control above all else. Our doctors perform surgeries ranging from routine soft tissue to more complex orthopedic procedures.

After your pet’s surgery, we offer and recommend laser therapy to speed healing and help manage pain during the recovery process. This is especially useful after orthopedic procedures.

Furthermore, if you would like a microchip for your pet, we suggest having it done while they are still under anesthesia. Although this procedure can be performed at any time while a pet is awake, this is a good opportunity to have it done without any discomfort.

If your dog or cat is in need of surgery or you would like information about any of these procedures, please call us at (254) 939-5823.
