Meet Our Wonderful Veterinary Support Staff
Pam, Practice Manager
Pam joined our clinic as practice manager in the fall of 2008. She graduated from Texas A & M University. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two human children, as well as her two four-legged children, Roxy and Bella.
Deborah began working with us in 2009 and has over 20 years of veterinary experience. She has a special interest in emergency care and likes keeping up with the latest in veterinary medicine. She enjoys spending time with her family and has a special interest in computers. She is frequently found on Facebook.
Erica joined BSAC in March 2015. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2003, and completed her degree in Veterinary Technology from the Cedar Valley College AAHA Vet Tech Program in 2014. Senior pets are her favorite. Erica and her husband have lived in Texas, Arizona, and North Carolina. They have a family of furred and feathered babies of all sizes and ages.
Cindy recently joined BSAC as a technician. You may have seen her at the clinic since she has been a client for a long time. She is a retired firefighter/paramedic. Cindy still cares for patients but now they have four legs instead of two. She loves to read and travel with her husband. Cindy has two Golden Retrievers and three cats.
Taylor has been with Belton Small Animal Clinic's for over three years. She started out in the kennel, and quickly moved to being a receptionist. She is now a full-time technician. She is originally from St. Louis, Missouri and moved to Temple to be with her husband, Tim, who is an EMT.
Taylor obtained her culinary degree from L'ecole Culinaire, St. Louis and has worked in many different types and styles of restaurants. At the present time, Taylor is looking into changing her career to work where her real passion lies, with animals. Taylor and Tim have two dogs—Charlie, a Chocolate Lab, and Marley, a pit mix— and a cat named Odin. Her hobbies include reading, participating in outdoor activities, and writing. Taylor also enjoys a wide range of music and likes going to shows and concerts.
Cassie joined our team in September 2016. She recently moved to Belton from the Dallas area where she was a vet tech for four years. Prior to that, she was a kennel tech for three years in College Station. Cassie has one daughter, who she calls her "ginger baby," and two Australian Shepherds. She is referred to as "the tiny house lady" since she and her family are currently having one built. Welcome Cassie to BSAC.
Nubia joined BSAC in January 2017. She graduated from Texas A&M University in June 2016 with a Bachelor's of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries. Nubia is a true animal lover who shares her home with two dogs, a Poodle named Snowball and a Beagle mix named Asami, and three Guinea Pigs— Pascal, Perry, and Po. During her free time, Nubia enjoys spending time with her family, going to the movies, and taking walks with her dogs.
Tera joined BSAC in 2017 as a technician. She was born in San Bernardino, California and moved to Belton, where she graduated from Belton High School in 2010. In high school, Tera was involved with the FFA where she showed market hogs for two years, and was on the poultry, equine, and Vet Tech Teams. Tera graduated from Temple College in 2013, and in October 2015 graduated from the Vet Tech Institute of Houston. She is an avid "bully" lover and owns one American Bulldog. Besides working at BSAC, you will see Tera at the Animal Emergency Center of Temple.
Jo first came to BSAC as a client when she moved with her husband and son to Texas in 2009. She is originally from Binghampton, New York. She graduated from Johnson College in 2000 with a degree in Veterinary Science Technology. Jo interned at Cornell University and was licensed by the state of New York in 2000. She worked at a clinic in Connecticut for five years before she decided to take time off to raise her family. Along with her husband and son, Jo has four cats. Her hobbies include photography, tennis, reading and of course she loves animals.
Trevor joined BSAC in the summer of 2017. He is currently studying biology at Temple College. He eventually would like to be an entomologist or a herpetologist. Trevor moved to Central Texas from Oklahoma. He enjoys playing tennis and loves big dogs, especially Pitbulls.
Anissa is one of our technicians at BSAC. She graduated from Texas A&M in May 2017 with a BS in Biomedical Sciences. She plans to continue her education to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Anissa enjoys spending her free time with her faithful Labrador Retriever, Cookie. Her hobbies include watching movies, playing soccer, and painting.
We would like to welcome Miranda to our family at BSAC. Miranda is currently a senior at Tarleton State University where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis on animal science/pre-vet. After graduation in May, she plans to attend a veterinary medical school. Miranda has five years experience as a technician and is certified as a veterinary assistant, level 1. Miranda has two dogs. She also loves horses, fishing, going to the lake, and spending time with her family.
Colsyn recently joined BSAC as a vet tech. She is originally from Charleston, South Carolina. She has experience as a tech in primary medicine, emergency room, and critical care. She and her family just moved to Ft. Hood from Baumholder, Germany. Colsyn and her husband have three children.
Jimmie joined Belton Small Animal Clinic in 2012. She has over 15 years of experience in the veterinary field. Jimmie is a receptionist/technician. She married her high school sweetheart and they have seven kids. They also have a Chihuahua named Roby, a Mastiff-Ridgeback-mix named Honee, and a Doberman Pincher named Baltimore. Jimmie enjoys shopping and spending time with her family.
Robin joined BSAC in August 2015. She moved to Belton in 1991 with her husband Michael. Together they owned and operated a general contracting company, and Dooley's Pool Hall. Robin has been a client of Belton Small Animal Clinic for years. Growing up, Robin wanted to become a veterinarian so getting to work in vet clinic is the next best thing to her dream job. Robin has a black English Lab, Lily, and three cats— Jinx, Hissy and Hazy. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, fishing, hockey, and watching old movies. Additionally, she plays on teams in two billiards leagues, 9 ball and a ladies 8 ball.
Candy joined BSAC with over twenty years in customer service experience. She recently made the decision to pursue her passion of working with animals. She has earned an entry level Veterinary Assistant certificate at CTC and is eager to further her education to learn as much as she can about working with all types of animals. She and her husband Charlie have three children, and one grandson. Candy and Charlie also have two Chihuahuas, one Boxer, one Papillon, one Miniature Pinscher, two cats, three Finches, and one Cockatiel. She believes a family is not complete with out a pet or two. Candy's free time is spent with her family, doing photography, going fishing, and relaxing at the coast.
Baylee joined BSAC in November 2016. She graduated from Belton High School. This is Baylee's first job in the vet field, but she has grown up learning about pets from her mom, Jimmie. Baylee has one handsome, medium hair cat named Raiven, who she loves to pieces. She wants to put her passion for animals to good work here at the clinic.
Ashley is starting her new career path at Belton Small Animal Clinic. Her husband is an active duty soldier stationed at Fort Hood. They have two dogs, Oakley, a Doberman, and Lilith, an Australian Shepherd. During her free time, Ashley loves spending time with her family and friends. Her interests include music, art, traveling, and of course, animals.
Kris, Kennel Staff/Groomer
Kris has been working with us since 2000 as a kennel technician. She is interested in anything related to animals. Her hobbies include arts and crafts, training her dogs, training and driving her pony, as well as raising Nigerian Dwarf goats.
Susan, Kennel Staff/Groomer
Susan is a lover of all animals. We are very happy to have her as part of our BSAC kennel staff. Currently, Susan has two mutts and two Cockatiels, who just had three chicks—she considers herself their bird granny. Susan also enjoys pet sitting for neighbors.
Eric, Kennel Staff
Eric is currently a student at Belton High School. He loves to work with animals, especially dogs. His hobbies including watching movies and eating hot wings. Eric has one dog at home who loves to sit and watch "The Hobbit" with him.
Hannah, Kennel Staff
Hannah joined BSAC as part of our kennel staff. She recently moved to Texas with her husband from Louisiana. She plans to attend Central Texas A&M to pursue her dream of becoming a teacher. Hannah loves all pets, except reptiles, and hopes to add a pet to her family soon. She loves to travel with her husband, and spend time with her family in her spare time.
Alysan, Kennel Staff
Alysan Graduated from Harker Heights High School in 2016 and attended Tarleton State University for one year. She currently resides in Temple with her boyfriend, Leo. Alysan and Leo have three pets, a service dog, Hamilton, who is a Catahoula, Dreamer, a lab mix, and Patches, the Betta fish. Alysan’s goal is to become a full-time dog trainer and/or be heavily involved in rescue work. She says her life is surrounded by dogs, and she wouldn't have it any other way.
Tommy, Kennel Staff
Tommy recently moved from Brownfield to Belton to be closer to his mother, Susan. In Brownfield, he was known to take every stray dog around. Tommy loves to make things with his hands and has made intricate bowls, wood furniture, and can fix almost anything. He also likes to spend time outside hiking.
Ashley, Kennel Staff
Ashley joined BSAC in February 2015 as part of our kennel staff. She is a student at New Tech High School in Belton. Upon graduation, Ashley would like to pursue a career in the medical field. In her free time, she loves to hang out with her family, play tennis, and watch TV with her Cocker Spaniel, Snickers.
Kolby, Kennel Staff
Kolby visits Belton Small Animal Clinic weekly as part of the Belton High School Work Based Learning program. This program provides students with real-life, functional experiences in a natural environment during on-site vocational training. He assists the kennel staff with their morning duties. Kolby is a great addition to our staff.
Jerod, Kennel Staff
Jerod is a 2017 graduate of Belton High School. Throughout his high school career, he successfully showed and raised sheep, goats and dogs. He has three dogs of his own; Duke, Daisy, and Jax all of which he considers his children. Jerod attends Tarleton State University majoring in Agriculture Education. Jerod wants to become an Agriculture teacher, to make the same positive impact on students that his teachers did on him.
