Jimmie, Practice Manager
Jimmie was born in Paris, TX and moved to Central Texas 11 years ago. She joined BSAC in 2012 as a receptionist. She then transitioned to a veterinary technician for 3 years and then returned to reception as the lead for 6 months and was recently promoted to practice manager. In her free time, Jimmie enjoys naps, loves coffee and fishing with her husband of 10 years. They have 7 children and 3 dogs, Artie, Baltimore and Honee. Jimmie also admits to having an unhealthy obsession with crime shows.
Kris, Groomer/Kennel Technician
Kris has been working at BSAC since 1999. She started out as a kennel technician and is now head groomer. Kris is interested in anything related to animals, especially animal training. She has raised Shetland ponies and registered Nigerian Dwarf milk goats over the years. Now living in town near her family, she loves to read, plan arts and crafts, spend time with her Dad and her brother and most importantly, make people smile. Her fur family consists of 2 Miniature Pinschers, Paco and Nicki, 1 cat, Meeka and a rabbit named Jack.
Deborah, Inventory Manager
Deborah began working with us in 2009 and has over 20 years of veterinary experience. She has a special interest in emergency care and likes keeping up with the latest in veterinary medicine. She enjoys spending time with her family and has a special interest in computers. She is frequently found on Facebook.
Candy, Lead Receptionist
Candy joined Belton Small Animal Clinic in June 2016. After 25 years in customer service, she pursed her passion of working with animals by obtaining a Veterinary Assistant Certificate at Central Texas College. While attending courses at CTC she applied for a receptionist position at Belton Small Animal Clinic and the rest is history.
Born and raised in Texas, Candy graduated from Academy High School and a couple of years later she married the love of her life, Charlie. Making Bell County their home, they raised one son and two daughters who are all graduates of Belton High School. Candy is now a proud “Gigi” of 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter.
In her free time, besides being with her family, she enjoys going to the coast, traveling, fishing, and spending time with her dogs.
Candy has an extensive four-legged family of dogs which includes Disney, Jennings, Nila, and Simon, along with Cash, a domestic black cat and Fred, the betta fish. “A house is not a home without a pet or 2.” Candy is currently taking courses to continue her education in veterinary management and learning new ways to contribute to the BSAC family.
Robin hails from Portsmouth, VA. She has been in Central Texas for 30 years. She joined BSAC in 2015 as a receptionist. She has been in the business world having owned a construction company and Dooley’s Pool Hall. Outside the business world, Robin enjoys billiards, fishing, watching movies cooking and baking. Robin and her husband, Michael, have been married for 33 years and they have 3 daughters, 5 grandkids, 1 great-grand son, 1 dog and 7 cats. She admits to being a “foster fail”. Fun fact about Robin is her Ladies Billiard Team won 2nd Place in the Nationals in 2005.
Cindy, Veterinary Technician
Cindy is a retired firefighter/paramedic who came to work at BSAC in 2016 following an unfortunate accident when one of her fur babies had to have emergency surgery. Cindy saw that many of the skills and much knowledge utilized by vet techs and paramedics is the same. Now her patients have 4 legs instead of 2. Cindy also enjoys baking and brings naked treats for the staff to enjoy. She lives in Temple and has 4 dogs and 2 cats.
Eric, Kennel Staff
Eric has been with BSAC since his highs school days at Belton High School. He loves working with all of our boarders, especially the dogs. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games and riding his unicycle. Eric can be described as serious, playful, hardworking and short. (His words!)
Baylee, Veterinary Technician
Baylee was born in Arlington, TX and moved to Belton 11 years ago. Her first job after high school was at BSAC and she has worked her way through all areas of the clinic – kennel technician, receptionist and now veterinary technician. Baylee enjoys spending time with her cat, writing, drawing and spending time with her family to include her 6 siblings.
Alysan, Veterinary Technician
Alysan started at BSAC in November 2017. She started as a groomer, then moved to reception and now is a veterinary technician. Alysan and her high school sweetheart, Leo, welcomed their son Archer to their family in November 2020. They also have a dog, Hamilton, cats Ramsay, Peyton and Claire and a ball python, Floyd. In her free time, Alysan enjoys her time as a mom, hanging out with friends and family and listening to Taylor Swift.
Kelsey, Kennel Technician
Kelsey is originally from Webster, TX and has been in the Central Texas area for the past 3 years. She has been with BSAC for 3 years and has been in the field for 8 years. She was previously a kennel tech in Boise, Idaho. Kelsey has an associate degree in Biology and is currently enrolled at MCC in Waco studying radiology. Outside of work and studying, Kelsey enjoys binge watching movies with her boyfriend, Trenton, dancing, swimming, DIY projects, collecting stickers and playing with her pets Ranger, the dog, and Binx, the cat. Two fun facts about Kelsey she is obsessed with coffee, and she can remember everything.
Addie, Kennel Technician
Addie, short for Addison, joined our team in 2018 as a kennel technician. Addie was born in San Marcos and has lived in Central Texas for her entire life. She graduated from Belton High School in 2020. Her hobbies include photography and going for walks. Addie has 2 siblings, 4 dogs, 1 ferret, 1 niece and 2 nephews. Sounds like Addie is busy.
Yasmeen, Licensed Veterinary Technician
Yasmeen is from Temple, TX and became a Licenses Veterinary Technician after graduating from MCC in Waco. In her free time, Yasmeen enjoys listening to music, watching movies and loves spending time with her pets, Poseidon, the turtle, Bullet and Ash, the dogs, and Snoop Dog, the cat.
Arlicia, Veterinary Technician
Arlicia is originally from North Carolina and has been in Central Texas since 2013. She has an associate degree in General Studies and has worked with Texas Vets for Pets. Arlicia is currently attending school to become a licensed vet tech. She has a daughter named Aaryn, 4 dogs and 1 cat. In her free time, Arlicia enjoys spending time with her daughter, reading, watching Dr. Who and working with animal rescues.
Tommy, Kennel Technician
Tommy is originally from Brownfield, TX and has been in the Central Texas area for the last 4 years. He enjoys listening to music and chilling outside.
Marissa joined BSAC in January 2019 as part of our reception team but has since been cross trained throughout the clinic. She is a native Beltonian. Marissa enjoys most outdoor activities that include water, dancing, signing, taking care of her plants and pets, 3 dogs, Vlad, D-Bo and Hazelnut along with cat, Mazikeen. A fun fact about Marissa is that she can fold a basket of towels in under 2 minutes.
Ann, Veterinary Technician
Ann is originally from Korea and has been in Central Texas for 30 years. She has 3 children and an assortment of pet animals. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking and enjoys a good costume party. Ann is very special in that she always has a smile on her face.
Alicia is a local gal who was born and raised in Central Texas and graduated from Tarleton State University with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. She enjoys hiking, reading and being on the lake whenever she has a chance. Alicia has 5 “fur babies” – 2 cats and 3 dogs. She is a self-proclaimed adrenaline junkie with skydiving next on her list.
Britten, Veterinary Technician
Britten joined the BSAC family in 2019. She is born and raised in central Texas and graduated from MCC as a Veterinary Technician. In her free time, Britten likes to spend time at the lake with her fiancé Dannie, hanging out with friends and family and their three dogs Cooter, Bo and Scout.
Aimeé, Kennel Staff
Aimeé is originally from Lafayette, Louisiana and has been in Central Texas for three years. Aimeé is part of FFA in high school so she has plenty of experience with livestock. In her free time, she enjoys riding dirtbikes.
Lee, Veterinary Technician
Lee grew up in Grand Ledge, Michigan and joined the military as a Flight Operations Coordinator immediately following high school. While stationed at Fort Eustis, VA, she met her husband of 30 plus years and followed him around the globe having been stationed in wonderful places like, Mainz Finthen, Germany and Hawaii. They have 2 boys that are now grown. One is in the Navy as a rescue swimmer with a wife and 2 children, and the other is a Firefighter/Paramedic in Killeen. While her youngest was in high school and with her husband retiring from the military at Fort Hood, Lee decided to return to school. She graduated from MCC in Waco at the top of her class from the Veterinary Technician program. She has since been in the field 6 years and have acquired 2 dogs, (Rilee and Rage) 2 horses, (Kit and Dolly) and 3 cats (Rhett, Ragnar and Tilt). Lee has been at Belton Small Animal Clinic just over 2 years now with every day proving to be challenging, exciting and her dream job.
Sharon, Veterinary Technician
Sharon is originally from El Paso and has been in Central Texas for 3 ½ years. She has worked as a veterinary technician for approximately 7 years. Sharon enjoys writing, watching tv, going to the movies, cats, nature and the beach. She has one cat, Summer, and a bird named Kishi. Sharon is a huge “Lion King” fan and is very funny. Seriously, she is funny!
Jessica (JJ), Veterinary Technician
JJ joined BSAC in August 2019. She has almost 8 years of experience as a veterinary technician. She has worked with both domestic and exotic animals. Sharon and her family have been in Central Texas for almost 2 years. Her pets include a pit bull mix, a rabbit and 2 turtles. Animals have always been and will be a huge part of JJ’s life.
Lisha, Lead Veterinary Technician
Lisha joined our technician team in September 2019. She is originally from Odessa, TX but has been in Central Texas for the last 28 years. She has worked as a vet tech for 7 years. She is married to Thomas for 11 years they 2 children, Harlee and Mia. In her free time, Lisha enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and working puzzles.
We would like to welcome back Susan to our receptionist staff. Susan is originally from Indiana and worked for a surgeon’s office for 14 years in Louisville, KY. She has been in Central Texas for 7 ½ years and has worked in the veterinary field for 7 years. Susan’s favorite pastime is to spend time outdoors with her grandchildren.
Louise, Veterinary Technician
We would like to welcome Louise to our BSAC family. Louise is originally from the Philippines and has been in Central Texas for 7 years. She is currently a sophomore at the University of Texas in Austin pursuing a degree in Computational Biology. In her free time she enjoys tennis, hiking and loves to watch The Amazing Race.
AJ, Kennel Technician
AJ was born in Temple but raised in Killeen, TX. She is a freelance digital artist whose interests are in Anime, mythology and music. Her family has 9 pets at home and hers consist of two dogs and two cats. If you think you are seeing doubles at the clinic, AJ’s mom is Ann who is a vet tech at the clinic.
Rachel, Kennel Staff
We would like to welcome Rachel to our kennel staff. She is born and raised in Temple, TX. She is currently in high school and plans to study animal science when she attends college. She enjoys playing soccer, photography and horseback riding, which she has done since she was little. Along with her mom, dad and younger brother her family has a rabbit, 2 dogs and a horse.
Danielle, Kennel Technician/Groomer
Danielle is originally from Reahton, WA and has been in Central Texas for the past 13 years. She graduated from Temple High School. Danielle is training to be a groomer as part of our kennel staff. She enjoys loving on all the pets that are being groomed or boarded. Danielle and her boyfriend, Braden, have a dog named Layla. She has a love for art and music, and she loves to make people laugh.
Jessica was born and raised in the DFW area and recently moved to Belton in 2020. She is the proud mother of three children: Jordyn, Justin, and Jovan. Jessica enjoys cooking and spending time with her friends and family. She is passionate about customer service and feels like she has found a home at BSAC.
Jaden, Veterinary Technician
Jaden was born in Syracuse, NY and has been in Central Texas for the last 12 years. She is starting her third year of college in the study of animal science. She has worked at other clinics and has obtained her CVA, Certified Veterinary Assistant. Jaden enjoys hanging out with her cats, Dallas and Luna, running marathons, building computers and airplanes, volunteers at local fire stations and going two-stepping with friends. Jaden is fascinated by lamps and loves to turn them on and is a pilot.
Marina is from originally from Temple, but has moved to and from due to her family's military careers. She is very active, enjoying soccer and hiking, and keeps busy with her four dogs. Marina also like traveling and visiting new places as her favorite pastimes. Welcome.
Mayra, Kennel Staff
We would like to welcome Mayra to our BSAC family. Mayra is originally from El Salvador and has been in Central Texas for the last 6 ½ years. She has worked in vet clinics since she was 17 years old and has become an integral part of our kennel staff. In her spare time, Mayra enjoys spending time with her kids, reading, crafting and baking.
JoJo, Veterinary Technician
JoJo has joined our clinic as a part of our veterinary technician team. She is originally from Ft. Hood, Texas, a local girl, and has been in this area most of her life. She is currently pursuing an associates degree with Penn Foster. JoJo enjoys hiking and being outdoors when she is not at the clinic. She is currently engaged and has a stepdaughter, Danielle, and 2 cats, Boots and Fat Girl. A fun fact about JoJo is she is obsessed with bears. Hopefully, we will not see any in our area.
Maribel is our newest groomer at BSAC. She is originally from Temple and has been in the area for 32 years. She studied at Animal Behavior College with emphasis on grooming and veterinary technician. She is married and they have one dog named Chika. In her free time, she loves working on arts and crafts, specifically art journaling and cosplay and she is also a gamer.
Kalista is originally from Pearland, TX and has been in this area for 3 years. She and her husband are expecting their first child in November and also have a German Shepherd. In her free time, Kalista enjoys swimming and being outside.
Carlos, Kennel Staff
We would like to welcome Carlos to our BSAC family. Carlos was born in Heidelberg, Germany and has been in the Central Texas area for the last 13 years. He is currently enrolled at UMHB and studying for a BS in Biology with an Organismal Biology Emphasis. Carlos has been working/volunteering for 8 years with animals at several locations including animal shelters. He is a welcome addition to our kennel staff. In his free time, Carlos enjoys video games, drawing art sketches, hiking, biking, streaming on Twitch and playing with his Jack Russell Terrier, Rocky. Don’t be surprised if you aren’t smiling if you are anywhere near Carlos because he loves to crack jokes and he is such a positive person who is infectious.
Dustin, Lead Kennel Technician
Dustin is originally from San Angelo but grew up in Central Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Religion from Calvary Theological Seminary and an Associates of Christian Art from University of Nations, Kona, Hawaii. He traveled to Japan for missionary work. This is his first time working at an animal clinic but was raised on a farm and took care of the field dogs and other livestock. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, going to the gym and being with his wife, Jean. Dustin and his wife have four pets, Asuna, Kiba, Kirito and Sakura.
Olivia, Veterinary Technician Assistant
Olivia was born in Fayetteville, NC and moved back to Belton in 2020. She is currently attending Texas A&M University majoring in Biomedical Science. She has interned at BCAS the past few summers while in high school. She loves animals and has a Great Pyrenees named Mia. Olivia is an “army brat” and has moved 10 times.
Elizabeth, Licensed Veterinary Technician
Elizabeth grew up in Belton, but moved to Nashville for a few years before returning. Growing up, she wanted to be a marine biologist, then a veterinarian, and then a HS band director, but animals have always remained her passion.
Previously a police dispatcher for 6 years, Elizabeth decided to change careers and got her veterinary technician degree from in 2017 from MCC in Waco, where she also worked in shelter medicine at the Waco Animal Shelter. Elizabeth loves volunteering at the shelter as she finds it rewarding for her to give love and affection to the animals currently there. She in particularly interested in exotic animals.
When Elizabeth is not working, she loves to read fiction books, play video games, go to the farmers market, and hang out with her animals. She and her husband have four dogs, threee cats, one ball python, and three aquariums with fish. She aspires to have goats, donkeys, and llamas some day.
Joseph started at BSAC in 2021 as part of our reception team. He is from Temple and has worked in customer service for the past 6 years. He enjoys hiking, swimming and cooking. He can make pasta from scratch and can make a real good sauce to go with it.
Emily, Kennel Technician/Groomer
Emily is born and raised in Temple, TX. Her hobbies include fishing, reading and walks. Emily and her boyfriend, Tayler, have pet rats.
Natalie, Kennel Technician
Natalie has joined BSAC as part of our kennel staff. She is from Belton and attends Belton High School where she is on the soccer team and also an athletic trainer. Her favorite pastime is going to Keystone resort in Colorado to ski with her family. She loves to be in the cold but when it’s hot she loves to be at the beach in San Diego.
Dawn is from Miami, FL and has been in the Central Texas area for the last 5 years. She has been in the medical field for the last 26 years working with reception, medical records, authorizations and as an insurance specialist. Dawn has been married to her husband, Matthew, for 14 years and have one daughter, Eden, and a yellow lab, Ellie Mae. She enjoys gardening, concerts, shopping for antiques, and “girls’ day” with her daughter and her friends. Dawn secretly loves cats, don’t tell Ellie, and is a country girl.
Cheyenne is originally from Temple, TX and has been working in the animal field since 2019. She has acquired her entry level Veterinary Assistant certificate from CTC and is hoping to become a veterinary technician in the future. She loves to eat, play pool and watch horror movies.
Deanna grew up in rural northeast Mississippi, home of Elvis, and moved to Texas in 2016 due to her husband’s military career. He is now medically retired and attending college for agricultural science. They have 2 kids, Nathaniall and Elizabeth, and 3 cats. Deanna enjoys cooking in her free time and going on outdoor adventures with their friends and kids. She is currently enrolling in school to obtains a veterinary technician certificate and hopes to become a veterinarian in a few years.
