jimmie

Jimmie, Practice Manager

Jimmie was born in Paris, TX, and moved to Central Texas later in her life. She joined BSAC in 2012 as a Receptionist and then enjoyed a 3-year stint as a Veterinary Technician. After wearing many hats, Jimmie was promoted to Practice Manager.

During her free time, Jimmie can be found enjoying a nap or indulging in her slightly unhealthy obsession with crime shows! She loves coffee and fishing with her husband; they have 7 children and 4 dogs - Artie, Baltimore, Benny, and Roxie.

Lisha

Lisha, Inventory Manager, Veterinary Technician

Lisha joined our technician team in September 2019. She was born in Odessa, TX, and raised in Belton from a young age. Growing up, she was always fascinated with animals; she knew she had to convert this passion into a career.

Lisha met her husband Thomas in high school, joined the military, and started a family! Her son Harlee and daughter Mia do everything as a family. During their free time, they are often found enjoying the outdoors.

Baylee

Baylee, Lead Customer Service Representative

Baylee's veterinary journey in 2016. She worked part-time as kennel staff until graduating from Belton High School in 2017, later moving to reception. There, she developed her skills in customer care and learned how to meet the needs of vet clinic clientele. In 2020, she shifted gears into technician work, expanding her knowledge in the pursuit of learning new skills. After accepting the position of lead receptionist, Baylee now couples her accumulated veterinary expertise with her management skills.  

Her team praises her for her flexibility and knowledge. Baylee understands how best to care for patients in any situation and move efficiently between departments when necessary.  

When Baylee isn’t working, she can be found spending time with friends and family, nose-deep in a book, or writing her very own novels. 

Britten

Britten, Veterinary Technician

Britten joined the BSAC family in 2019. She is born and raised in central Texas and graduated from MCC as a Veterinary Technician. In her free time, Britten likes to spend time at the lake with her husband Dannie, hanging out with friends and family and their three dogs Cooter, Bo, and Scout.

Eric, Lead Kennel Technician

Eric has been with BSAC since his highs school days at Belton High School. He loves working with all of our boarders, especially the dogs. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games and riding his unicycle. Eric can be described as serious, playful, hardworking and short. (His words!)

Ann

Ann, Veterinary Technician & Customer Service Representative

Ann was born in Korea, but spent a large part of her upbringing in Germany. She has been in Central Texas for 30+ years.

As a child, she wanted to be an astronaut; however, her specialization in exotic animals told her it was time to become more involved in animal medicine. Ann is very special in that she always has a smile on her face.

She has 3 children and an assortment of pet animals. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and enjoys a good costume party.

Yasmeen

Yasmeen, Licensed Veterinary Technician

Yasmeen is from Temple, TX and became a Licenses Veterinary Technician after graduating from MCC in Waco. In her free time, Yasmeen enjoys listening to music, watching movies and loves spending time with her pets, Poseidon, the turtle, Bullet and Ash, the dogs, and Snoop Dog, the cat.

Jo_Friedman

Jo, Licensed Veterinary Technician

Jo grew up in Binghamton, NY. Although her dream job as a child was to become a photographer, she had an innate passion for the compassionate care of animals.

Her ambition not only helped her receive an Associate's Degree in Accounting, but she even decided to return to school at 23 years old to become a veterinary technician. She has been working in veterinary medicine since, with an intermission to raise her son. Additionally, she is now an active member of the NAVTA.

She is ecstatic to resume her veterinary career with the BSAC family. During her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.

Alysan_Marks

Alysan, Veterinary Technician

Alysan has been a part of the BSAC family since 2017. She started as a groomer, then got promoted to reception, and now is a veterinary technician.

Her dream job has always been to work with animals. Her specialty is in the handling of aggressive dogs, and especially enjoys helping clients navigate difficult situations through education on pet behavior.

During her free time, Alysan enjoys spending time with her high school sweetheart, Leo, their sons Archer and Rowan, their dog Hamilton, and cats Ramsay, Peyton, and Claire. Did we forget someone? Oh yes, Floyd, their ball python!

Alysan enjoys her time as a mom, hanging out with friends and family and listening to Taylor Swift.

Marina, Veterinary Technician

After moving to and from Temple due to her family's military careers, Marina settled in Belton with her four dogs, keeping busy with activities like soccer and hiking.  Growing up in Texas, Marina dreamed of becoming a veterinarian.  She joined Belton Small Animal Clinic as a vet technician in December of 2020.

Lee

Lee, Veterinary Technician

Lee grew up in Grand Ledge, Michigan and joined the military as a Flight Operations Coordinator immediately following high school. While stationed at Fort Eustis, VA, she met her husband of 30 plus years and followed him around the globe having been stationed in wonderful places like, Mainz Finthen, Germany and Hawaii. They have 2 boys that are now grown. One is in the Navy as a rescue swimmer with a wife and 2 children, and the other is a Firefighter/Paramedic in Killeen. While her youngest was in high school and with her husband retiring from the military at Fort Hood, Lee decided to return to school. She graduated from MCC in Waco at the top of her class from the Veterinary Technician program. She has since been in the field 6 years and have acquired 2 dogs, (Rilee and Rage) 2 horses, (Kit and Dolly) and 3 cats (Rhett, Ragnar and Tilt). Lee has been at Belton Small Animal Clinic just over 2 years now with every day proving to be challenging, exciting and her dream job.

Sharon

Sharon, Veterinary Technician

Sharon is originally from El Paso and has worked as a veterinary technician since 2016.

Her dream job as a child was to become a pet detective-- until she found out they weren’t real. But, she always wanted to work with animals as well as write her own stories. This is evident through her continued education certificates and a 3rd place award for a stick figure drawing in the third grade!

During her free time, Sharon enjoys writing, watching tv, going to the movies, cats, nature, and the beach. She has one cat, Summer, and a bird named Kishi. Sharon is a huge “Lion King” fan and is very funny. Seriously, she is funny!

René, Veterinary Technician

Rene’ graduated from University of Mary Hardin-Baylor with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Psychology. She specializes in client education, which works hand in hand with her profession in veterinary medicine. Learning directly from the job with new situations every day is her favorite part!

Rene’ is a parent to five puppies of her own, and a little herd of cattle!

Amber Veterinary Technician

Amber, Veterinary Technician

Before joining Belton Small Animal Clinic in August of 2021, Amber dreamed of working with animals. Growing up as an “Air Force brat”, she was all over the world before finally settling in Texas. Since losing her very first rescue pet to cancer, she has developed an interest in cancer research, nutrition, and metabolic conditioning in dogs. She has previously run a non-profit organization called Keto Pet, a sanctuary for dogs with cancer. She became a vet tech 15 years ago, surviving clinic and emergency life. 

Amber’s three daughters, son, and husband keep her life relatively eventful. Because her husband is the captain of the local fire department, they both work chaotic hours. In spite of this, she always finds the time to spend with her family, whether it’s traveling or doing just about anything outdoors.

Maribel, Groomer/Kennel Technician

Since she was a kid, Maribel dreamed of working with animals. She studied at Animal Behavior College with emphasis on grooming and veterinary technician. Born and raised in Temple, Texas, she spends quality time bike riding, hiking, or camping. Following her time in Temple High School, she joined the BSAC clinic as a groomer.  

When she isn’t doing active exercise with her dog, Chika, Maribel enjoys gaming and arts and crafts, enjoying art journaling and cosplay.

Mayra, Kennel Staff

Mayra, Groomer/Kennel Technician

Originally from El Salvador then California, Mayra moved to Texas after she and her husband got married at 19. They settled and bought a home in Texas and have been blessed with two beautiful children, a boy and a girl. She has been working in the vet field since she was 16, getting her first job as a kennel technician. Although a certified vet assistant, Mayra fell in love with grooming at Belton Small Animal Clinic. For almost 2 years, she has been grooming and learning new techniques to make some stunning pooches.  

During her free time, she busies herself as a mom, wife, and pet mom. She has a grand total of six cats and four dogs that she chases along with her two kids. Mayra also loves making Tik-tok videos of the elaborate lunches she makes for her husband. She loves to craft, paint, and bake. She and her husband are also a part of a motorcycle club that dedicates their time to giving back to the community.  

 

Emily

Emily, Technician

Emily is born and raised in Temple, TX. Her hobbies include fishing, reading, and walks. Emily raises pet rats.

Kris_Byrd

Kris, Groomer/Kennel Technician

Kris was born in Washington State, but thanks to their father's military career, they received the opportunity to grow up in Texas. Holding a degree in General Studies with a large number of animal science classes from CTC, Kris has always loved adventures. Especially those involving animals and animal training. Kris also holds a special interest in horses.

Kris even holds years of experience in the country, raising chickens, ponies, and Nigerian dwarf milk goats!

Danielle-_Miles

Danielle, Groomer/Kennel Technician

Danielle was born in Washington and moved to Temple, TX, at the age of three years old. She graduated from Temple High School in 2020 and went to work at Belton Small Animal Clinic as a kennel technician, and a pet groomer shortly after.

She is known in the work environment for her genuine care for animals. When not at work, she loves to play video games, paint, and work with the youth group at her church.

Addie

Addie, Kennel Technician

Addie, short for Addison, joined our team in 2018 as a kennel technician. Addie was born in San Marcos and has lived in Central Texas for her entire life. She graduated from Belton High School in 2020.

She has had a passion and love for animals from a young age, spiking her interest in her adult career.

Her hobbies include photography and going for walks. Addie has 2 siblings, 4 dogs, 1 ferret, 1 niece, and 2 nephews. Sounds like Addie is busy.

 

Aj

AJ, Kennel Technician

AJ was born in Temple but raised in Killeen, TX. She is a freelance digital artist whose interests are in Anime, mythology and music. Her family has 9 pets at home and hers consist of two dogs and two cats. If you think you are seeing doubles at the clinic, AJ’s mom is Ann who is a vet tech at the clinic.

Meagan_Bonnet

Meagan, Kennel Technician

From Florida’s east coast, Meagan attended Sebastian River High School, Home of the Sharks. She attended Indian River State University until leaving school to care for her family. She hopes to return soon in order to pursue her degree in Radiology.

Her specialty lies in customer service. When not at work, she can be found at the park with her son, usually with her nose in a book!

Cheyenne_Campbell

Cheyenne, Kennel Technician

Cheyenne was born and raised in Central Texas. She has three dogs and a cat. Her passion for working with animals has been present since she was in high school; she even received a Veterinary Assistant Certification at CTC.

During her free time, Cheyenne can be found reading or playing video games.

Customer Service Representatives

Candy

Candy, Customer Service Representative

Candy joined Belton Small Animal Clinic in June 2016. After 25 years in customer service, she pursed her passion of working with animals by obtaining a Veterinary Assistant Certificate at Central Texas College. While attending courses at CTC she applied for a receptionist position at Belton Small Animal Clinic and the rest is history.

Born and raised in Texas, Candy graduated from Academy High School and a couple of years later she married the love of her life, Charlie. Making Bell County their home, they raised one son and two daughters who are all graduates of Belton High School. Candy is now a proud “Gigi” of 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter.

In her free time, besides being with her family, she enjoys going to the coast, traveling, fishing, and spending time with her dogs.

Candy has an extensive four-legged family of dogs which includes Disney, Jennings, Nila, and Simon, along with Cash, a domestic black cat and Fred, the betta fish. “A house is not a home without a pet or 2.” Candy is currently taking courses to continue her education in veterinary management and learning new ways to contribute to the BSAC family.

Robin

Robin, Customer Service Representative

Robin hails from Portsmouth, VA. She has been in Central Texas for 30 years. She joined BSAC in 2015 as a receptionist. She has been in the business world having owned a construction company and Dooley’s Pool Hall. Outside the business world, Robin enjoys billiards, fishing, watching movies cooking and baking. Robin and her husband, Michael, have been married for 33 years and they have 3 daughters, 5 grandkids, 1 great-grand son, 1 dog and 7 cats. She admits to being a “foster fail”. Fun fact about Robin is her Ladies Billiard Team won 2nd Place in the Nationals in 2005.

Alicia

Alicia, Customer Service Representative

Alicia is a local gal who was born and raised in Central Texas and graduated from Tarleton State University with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. She enjoys hiking, reading and being on the lake whenever she has a chance. Alicia has 5 “fur babies” – 2 cats and 3 dogs. She is a self-proclaimed adrenaline junkie with skydiving next on her list.

Jessica_Williams

Jessica (JJ), Customer Service Representative

JJ has been part of the BSAC family since August 2019 and brings many years of experience as a veterinary technician.

In the past, JJ has worked with both domestic and exotic animals. Sharon and her family have been in Central Texas for almost 2 years. Her pets include a pit bull mix, a rabbit, and 2 turtles. Animals have always been and will be a huge part of JJ’s life.

Susan, Customer Service Representative

We would like to welcome back Susan to our receptionist staff. Susan is originally from Indiana and worked for a surgeon’s office for 14 years in Louisville, KY. She has been in Central Texas for 7 ½ years and has worked in the veterinary field for 7 years. Susan’s favorite pastime is to spend time outdoors with her grandchildren.
