Jimmie, Practice Manager
Jimmie joined the veterinary field in 2005 and has been at BSAC since August of 2012. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for 9 years and together they have 7 children. Their family also consists of Baltimore, the Doberman adopted from a client as a baby. In her spare time, Jimmie enjoys fishing, working on puzzles, Starbucks and naps.
Kris, Kennel Staff/Groomer
Kris has been working with us since 2000 as a kennel technician. She is interested in anything related to animals. Her hobbies include arts and crafts, training her dogs, training and driving her pony, as well as raising Nigerian Dwarf goats.
Deborah, Inventory Manager
Deborah began working with us in 2009 and has over 20 years of veterinary experience. She has a special interest in emergency care and likes keeping up with the latest in veterinary medicine. She enjoys spending time with her family and has a special interest in computers. She is frequently found on Facebook.
Candy, Lead Receptionist
Candy joined BSAC with over twenty years in customer service experience. She recently made the decision to pursue her passion of working with animals. She has earned an entry level Veterinary Assistant certificate at CTC and is eager to further her education to learn as much as she can about working with all types of animals. She and her husband Charlie have three children, and one grandson. Candy and Charlie also have two Chihuahuas, one Boxer, one Papillon, one Miniature Pinscher, two cats, three Finches, and one Cockatiel. She believes a family is not complete without a pet or two. Candy's free time is spent with her family, doing photography, going fishing, and relaxing at the coast.
Robin joined BSAC in August 2015. She moved to Belton in 1991 with her husband Michael. Together they owned and operated a general contracting company, and Dooley's Pool Hall. Robin has been a client of Belton Small Animal Clinic for years. Growing up, Robin wanted to become a veterinarian so getting to work in vet clinic is the next best thing to her dream job. Robin has a black English Lab, Lily, and three cats— Jinx, Hissy and Hazy. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, fishing, hockey, and watching old movies. Additionally, she plays on teams in two billiards leagues, 9 ball and a ladies 8 ball.
Cindy, Veterinary Technician
Cindy recently joined BSAC as a technician. You may have seen her at the clinic since she has been a client for a long time. She is a retired firefighter/paramedic. Cindy still cares for patients but now they have four legs instead of two. She loves to read and travel with her husband. Cindy has two Golden Retrievers and three cats.
Eric, Kennel Staff
Eric is currently a student at Belton High School. He loves to work with animals, especially dogs. His hobbies including watching movies and eating hot wings. Eric has one dog at home who loves to sit and watch "The Hobbit" with him.
Baylee, Veterinary Technician
Baylee joined BSAC in November 2016. She graduated from Belton High School. This is Baylee's first job in the vet field, but she has grown up learning about pets from her mom, Jimmie. Baylee has one handsome, medium hair cat named Raiven, who she loves to pieces. She wants to put her passion for animals to good work here at the clinic.
Alysan, Veterinary Technician/Receptionist
Alysan Graduated from Harker Heights High School in 2016 and attended Tarleton State University for one year. She currently resides in Temple with her boyfriend, Leo. Alysan and Leo have three pets, a service dog, Hamilton, who is a Catahoula, Dreamer, a lab mix, and Patches, the Betta fish. Alysan’s goal is to become a full-time dog trainer and/or be heavily involved in rescue work. She says her life is surrounded by dogs, and she wouldn't have it any other way.
Kelsey, Kennel Staff
Kelsey is originally from Houston, TX, lived in Idaho for 14 years and now is back in Central Texas. She plans to attend McLennan Community College to obtain a degree in radiology. Kelsey has one dog named Ranger and a cat named Binx! Welcome Kelsey.
Addie, Kennel Staff / Groomer
Addie joined our kennel staff during the summer of 2018. She is currently a junior at Belton High School. Addie loves spending time with her family. She has two siblings and 6 dogs. She loves taking care of animals and that is an asset working at BSAC.
Yasmeen, Licensed Veterinary Technician
We are happy to welcome Yasmeen to BSAC. Yasmeen is from Temple, TX and received her Veterinary Technology degree from MCC in Waco. She has been interning the last three years at several local clinics. In her free time, she enjoys watching Anime, movies and listening to rock and k-pop music. Yasmeen has a turtle named Poseidon, a cat named Goldfish and two dogs, Ashes and Bullet. Yasmeen’s interest lies in reptiles and other exotic animals and would eventually like to work at a wildlife sanctuary. Welcome to BSAC!
Arlicia, Veterinary Technician
We would like to welcome Arlicia to our BSAC family. She is originally from North Carolina and has been in Central Texas since 2013. Arlicia has an associate degree in General Studies and has worked with Texas Vets for Pets. She is married to Richard and they have a 3 year old daughter named Aaryn. Her family also includes 2 cats and 4 dogs. In her free time, Arlicia enjoys reading, watching Dr. Who and working with animal rescues. Welcome.
Tommy, Kennel Staff
Tommy recently moved from Brownfield to Belton to be closer to his mother, Susan. In Brownfield, he was known to take every stray dog around. Tommy loves to make things with his hands and has made intricate bowls, wood furniture and can fix almost anything. He also likes to spend time outside hiking.
Marissa joined BSAC in January 2019 as part of our reception team. She is a local girl having been born and raised in Belton. Marissa enjoys hiking, swimming, working out and spending time with family and friends. Her best friend is D-Bo who is a 4-year-old Great Dane/Heeler mix who was found at 3 weeks old abandoned under a house. Marissa will fit right in with our staff. Welcome, Marissa.
Ann, Hospital Veterinary Technician
Ann is originally from Korea and has been in Central Texas for 30 years. She joins BSAC as a Technician Assistant. Ann has 3 children, 2 dogs, 2 hedgehogs, 4 rabbits, and 7 rats. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking and enjoys a good costume party. Welcome Ann.
Alicia, Veterinary Technician/Receptionist
Alicia is a local gal who was born and raised in Central Texas and graduated from Tarleton State University with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. She enjoys hiking, reading and being on the lake whenever she has a chance. Alicia has four “furbabies” – a cat, Harley, and dogs, Tuff, Double Stuff and Tootsie Roll. She is a self-proclaimed adrenaline junkie with skydiving next on her list. Welcome, Alicia!
Britten, Veterinary Technician
We would like to welcome Britten to BSAC as part of our technician staff. She is originally from Temple and graduated from MCC as a Veterinary Technician. In her free time, Britten likes to spend time with friends, family and her two dogs, Scout and Bo.
Aimeé, Kennel Staff
Aimeé is originally from Lafayette, Louisiana and has been in Central Texas for three years. Aimeé is part of FFA in high school so she has plenty of experience with livestock. In her free time, she enjoys riding dirtbikes.
Lee, Veterinary Technician / Trainer
We would like to welcome one of our newest technicians, Lee, to our clinic. Lee is originally from Lansing, Michigan and the military brought her and her family to Central Texas. After her husband retired from the military, they decided to stay in Texas. Lee graduated from MCC in Aug 2015 and has been working ever since. Besides her husband of 33 years, Lee’s family consists of 2 sons, 1 daughter-in-law, 2 grandchildren, 2 horses, 2 dogs and 2 cats. In her free time, Lee enjoys crafts, horseback riding, woodworking and working on their property. Welcome Lee!
Sharon, Veterinary Technician
Sharon has joined our veterinary technician staff. She is originally from El Paso and has been in Central Texas for over eight years. She has worked as a vet tech for over 5 years. She has 3 pets at home, a dog, cat and a bird. Sharon enjoys traveling, reading, loves anything with wildlife and exotics and enjoys writing. Her nickname is the “Punisher” because she is a master of puns!
Jessica, Veterinary Technician
Jessica has been in Central Texas for only a month before she started at BSAC in Aug 2019. She is originally from California. She has worked in the field for the past 5 years as a Vet Tech for a large emergency clinic. She specializes in the ER as well as wellness visits for cats, dogs and exotics. She has three boys, Hunter 13 years old, Oscar 6 years old and Jaxon 5 years old. Jessica also has In her free time, Jessica enjoys spending time with her boys, going to movies and a little bit of needlework. She is also a world traveler having moved 15 times in her lifetime to include, Europe, Asia and Africa.
We would like to welcome Taylor to our BSAC family. She will be joining our reception staff. She was born in Germany and has been in Central Texas for 15 years. She is currently pursueing a degree in early childhood education. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends, family and 2 cats – Hailey and Cash.
Christina joined our reception staff in Aug 2019. She is originally from California and has been in Central Texas since 2016. She has a B.A. in English with a minor in Comparative Literature and German Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She has worked in customer service and as a patient service specialist for 10 years. Christina and her husband, Justin, have been married for 6 years and have three fur babies, Kaiser, Mika and Demetri. Christina is a freelance artist with interests in illustration, paper cutting and painting.
Lisha, Lead Veterinary Technician
Lisha joined our technician team in September 2019. She is originally from Odessa, TX but has been in Central Texas since she was three. She has worked as a vet tech for 4 years and has been in the veterinary arena for seven years. She is married to Thomas and they 2 daughters and 5 dogs. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, going on walks with her dogs and being outdoors with her family. Fun fact about Lisha is that she loves Halloween and Tim Burton movies!
We would like to welcome back Susan to our receptionist staff. Susan is originally from Indiana and worked for a surgeon’s office for 14 years in Louisville, KY. She has been in Central Texas for 7 ½ years and has worked in the veterinary field for 7 years. Susan’s favorite pastime is to spend time outdoors with her grandchildren.
Louise, Hospital Veterinary Technician
We would like to welcome Louise to our BSAC family. Louise is originally from the Philippines and has been in Central Texas for 7 years. She is currently a sophomore at the University of Texas in Austin pursuing a degree in Computational Biology. In her free time she enjoys tennis, hiking and loves to watch The Amazing Race.
AJ, Hospital Veterinary Technician Assistant
AJ has joined BSAC as a member of our kennel staff. She is a local girl having been born and raised in Temple. AJ loves science and art and is a freelance digital artist. Her family has 9 pets at home and hers consist of two dogs, a cat and a rat. Think you are seeing doubles at the clinic, AJ’s mom is Ann who is our hospital technician.
Rachel, Kennel Staff
We would like to welcome Rachel to our kennel staff. She is born and raised in Temple, TX. She is currently in high school and plans to study animal science when she attends college. She enjoys playing soccer, photography and horseback riding, which she has done since she was little. Along with her mom, dad and younger brother her family has a rabbit, 2 dogs and a horse.
Danielle, Kennel Staff
Danielle is originally from Reahton, WA and has been in Central Texas for the past 12 years. She recently joined our kennel staff and enjoys loving on all the pets that are being groomed or boarded. She has a love for art and music and she loves to make people laugh.
Brittany, Veterinary Technician
Brittany started at BSAC during the summer of 2020 while on clinic rotations. She is currently enrolled at MCC for a Veterinarian Technician Degree. Her hobbies are play computer games and freely studying Microbiology! She has 4 dogs, 5 cats (part are outside cats) and 2 horses. Brittany also raises and shows Mini Laps in ARBA (American Rabbit Breeders Association) shows with her mother. Welcome to BSAC!
Jessica grew up in Arlington, Texas. As a child, her dream job was to be a teacher. Jessica is known for her great customer service. Outside of work, Jessica likes writing, cooking, drawing, and creating.
We would like to welcome Ashlynn to the BSAC family. She was born in Florida, grew up in Cairo, Egypt and has been in Central Texas for the last 4 years. She is currently studying to be a Certified Vet Assistant at CTC. Ashlynn enjoys being outdoors in her free time along with camping, hiking, riding horses, reading, eating and napping. We all can relate with napping. Welcome, Ashlynn.
Jaden, Veterinary Technician
We would like to welcome Jaden to our clinic. She was born in New York, lived in North Carolina, Alabama, and now Texas due to her father's military career. She is currently enrolled at Blinn College studying animal science.
Jaden loves to spend time with her family and friends and enjoys helping her brothers with their livestock projects. Although she has two cats at home, Dallas and Luna, her favorite animal is a goat. Welcome Jaden.
Marina is from originally from Temple, but has moved to and from due to her family's military careers. She is very active, enjoying soccer and hiking, and keeps busy with her four dogs. Marina also like traveling and visiting new places as her favorite pastimes. Welcome.
Mayra, Kennel Staff
We would like to welcome Mayra to our BSAC family. Mayra is originally from El Salvador and has been in Central Texas for the last 6 ½ years. She has worked in vet clinics since she was 17 years old and has become an integral part of our kennel staff. In her spare time, Mayra enjoys spending time with her kids, reading, crafting and baking.
JoJo, Veterinary Technician
JoJo has joined our clinic as a part of our veterinary technician team. She is originally from Ft. Hood, Texas, a local girl, and has been in this area most of her life. She is currently pursuing an associates degree with Penn Foster. JoJo enjoys hiking and being outdoors when she is not at the clinic. She is currently engaged and has a stepdaughter, Danielle, and 2 cats, Boots and Fat Girl. A fun fact about JoJo is she is obsessed with bears. Hopefully, we will not see any in our area.
Carlos, Kennel Staff
We would like to welcome Carlos to our BSAC family. Carlos was born in Heidelberg, Germany and has been in the Central Texas area for the last 13 years. He is currently enrolled at UMHB and studying for a BS in Biology with an Organismal Biology Emphasis. Carlos has been working/volunteering for 8 years with animals at several locations including animal shelters. He is a welcome addition to our kennel staff. In his free time, Carlos enjoys video games, drawing art sketches, hiking, biking, streaming on Twitch and playing with his Jack Russell Terrier, Rocky. Don’t be surprised if you aren’t smiling if you are anywhere near Carlos because he loves to crack jokes and he is such a positive person who is infectious.

Maribel is our newest groomer at BSAC. She is originally from Temple and has been in the area for 32 years. She studied at Animal Behavior College with emphasis on grooming and veterinary technician. She is married and they have one dog named Chika. In her free time, she loves working on arts and crafts, specifically art journaling and cosplay and she is also a gamer. Welcome Maribel.
Elizabeth, Licensed Veterinary Technician
Elizabeth grew up in Belton, but moved to Nashville for a few years before returning. Growing up, she wanted to be a marine biologist, then a veterinarian, and then a HS band director, but animals have always remained her passion.
Previously a police dispatcher for 6 years, Elizabeth decided to change careers and got her veterinary technician degree from in 2017 from MCC in Waco, where she also worked in shelter medicine at the Waco Animal Shelter. Elizabeth loves volunteering at the shelter as she finds it rewarding for her to give love and affection to the animals currently there. She in particularly interested in exotic animals.
When Elizabeth is not working, she loves to read fiction books, play video games, go to the farmers market, and hang out with her animals. She and her husband have four dogs, threee cats, one ball python, and three aquariums with fish. She aspires to have goats, donkeys, and llamas some day.
