  • Linda M. Hankins, DVM

    Linda M. Hankins, DVM

     

    Dr. Hankins joined Belton Small Animal Clinic in 1997.  She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Texas A&M University in 1994.  After graduating, she spent three years at the Animal clinic in Galveston.  Dr. Hankins grew up wanting to become a veterinarian, applying for her first job when she was eight years old, only to be told to come back when she was sixteen. At fifteen, Dr. Hankins started her career at a veterinary practice.

    Veterinary practice allows one to utilize the love of animals, problem solving while building long lasting relationships with the pets and their families.  It also allows for a variety of experience including education of owners, internal medicine, radiology, anesthesiology and surgery.

    Dr. Hankins enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and playing cards.  Duncan, her Border Collie, is always close at hand and she has a small herd of cows she shares with her brother and sister-in-law, Kelly and Lizzy.

  • Suzanne Brown, DVM

    Suzanne Brown, DVM

     

    Dr. Suzanne M. Brown joined Belton Small Animal Clinic in the fall of 2011.  Originally from the Houston area, she spent 8 years as an associate veterinarian in Temple.  She has the unique distinction of being both a Longhorn and an Aggie, with an undergraduate degree in Zoology from the University of Texas at Austin and a DVM from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine.

    Her professional interests include internal medicine, anesthesiology, feline medicine, and diagnostic ultrasound.  She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, the North Central Texas District Veterinary Medical Association, and is on the Board of Directors of the Animal Emergency Center of Temple-Belton.

    Dr. Brown enjoys international travel and is fluent in Spanish.  She lives out in the country with her husband Craig and their three young daughters, twins Anna and Grace, and the youngest Claire.  They share their home with their blue heeler mix Daisy, rottweiler mix Maddie and their cockatiel Piper.

    Dana Tedesco, DVM

     

    Dr. Tedesco joined the Belton Small Animal Clinic in 2013. Born and raised a Michigan Wolverine, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Michigan and her DVM from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she moved to Austin, Texas for a rigorous internship in small animal emergency medicine and surgery. She spent a year as a wildlife veterinarian in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, working with local wildlife including black bears and bald eagles, before finding her way back to Central Texas.

    Dr. Tedesco’s interests include emerging infectious diseases and wound management. She shares her North Austin home with a dachshund  mix named Olive, a kitty named Sprinkler, and a human named James.  In her free time, she enjoys distance running, vegetarian cooking, and curling up with a good book.

    Chrissy has worked for over 15 years as a veterinary technician.  She joined the staff at Belton Small Animal Clinic in 2009.  Some of her hobbies include sewing, reading, and horseback riding.  The aspect of her job that she enjoys the most is helping owners learn how to keep their pets healthy and helping to treat them when they are sick.

    Candy began working with us in August 2011.  She has over 11 years of experience as a technician.  Candy has two dogs, two cats and a turtle, as well as her two girls.  Her husband is in the Army and stationed at Fort Hood were he works with the Patriot Missile System.  Candy is also continuing her education to earn a degree in Graphic Design.

    Jennifer has a degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in College Station.  She has worked in the medical/veterinary field for 12 years.  She has two daughters - Jessica and Savannah, two Labradors - Sunflower and Rascal and a cat named Junebug.  She moved to Belton in the summer of 2013 and started at Belton Small Animal Clinic in August.  She enjoys hunting, reading, playing Bunko and playing drums for various blues musicians.

    Senovia  graduated from Harker Heights High School in June 2013.  She plans to attend Texas A&M after completing her undergraduate degree at Central Texas College in Killeen.  Her goal is to pursue the veterinarian field with hopes of getting into A&M’s Vet Program. Senovia would like to specialize in equine care and work with race horses.  While working at BSAC, Senovia hopes to get her CVA and learn more about the day and life of a veterinarian. 

    Senovia has 3 dogs, 2 cats and a fish.  She has always loved animals and has wanted to work with them since she was a little girl. Senovia enjoys sports and other outdoor activities such as camping, reading, movies and hanging out with friends.

    Aleksa moved from Pennsylvania to Belton in 2012 to be with her husband who is stationed at Ft. Hood. While in Texas, she has been taking classes at Temple College and intends to transfer to Texas A&M in the Fall of 2014 to finish her bachelor’s degree. Upon completion of her degree, she hopes to be accepted into Texas A&M’s College of Veterinary Medicine and someday have a practice of her own specializing in felines.

    Aleksa enjoys working with animals, reading, cooking, and spending time with her husband Luke, and two cats, Prince and Chief.

    Zach joined the BSAC staff in August of 2013 after interning the summer of 2013.  He is currently a sophomore at Belton New Tech High @ Waskow and is taking Veterinary Medicine.  He plays golf for Belton High School.  He is working on earning his Eagle Scout rank with the Boy Scouts of America.  He loves all animals, but dogs are his favorite.  His goal is to eventually attend Texas A&M's Veterinary Medicine program.  He enjoys hanging out with his friends and being involved in his church's youth group.  His favorite bible verse is Proverbs 27:19.

    Brad joined BSAC in October of 2013.  He is currently a Junior at Belton High School and is taking the Advanced Vet Tech course.  Brad's love for animals has made him determined to succeed at his job.  He enjoys watching football, being with friends and often mixes the two.  He is very proud to be part of our kennel staff and we are glad to have him be a part of our family.

    Ania joined us in March 2014.  Ania grew up in Austria and moved to Texas in 200 after meeting her husband, Art, during rescue efforts following an avalanche disaster in 1999.  She is the proud mom of Marcus, Vanessa, Adam and Isabella.  Ania also has 3 dogs and 5 cats.  She loves watching her kids participate in sports and spending quality time with them and her husband. 
    Ania is passionate about animals and their welfare.  She volunteers at animal shelters, foster cats and assists with networking pets in need of rescue.  With Ania's love for animals, she believes a career in the veterinary field is her calling and is starting her road to reach her goals one step at a time...kennel staff, vet tech and then perhaps a Veterinarian.
