  • Linda M. Hankins, DVM

     

    Dr. Hankins joined Belton Small Animal Clinic in 1997.  She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Texas A&M University in 1994.  After graduating, she spent three years at the Animal clinic in Galveston.  Dr. Hankins grew up wanting to become a veterinarian, applying for her first job when she was eight years old, only to be told to come back when she was sixteen. At fifteen, Dr. Hankins started her career at a veterinary practice.

    Veterinary practice allows one to utilize the love of animals, problem solving while building long lasting relationships with the pets and their families.  It also allows for a variety of experience including education of owners, internal medicine, radiology, anesthesiology and surgery.

    Dr. Hankins enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and playing cards.  Duncan, her Border Collie, is always close at hand and she has a small herd of cows she shares with her brother and sister-in-law, Kelly and Lizzy.

  • Suzanne Brown, DVM

     

    Dr. Suzanne M. Brown joined Belton Small Animal Clinic in the fall of 2011.  Originally from the Houston area, she spent 8 years as an associate veterinarian in Temple.  She has the unique distinction of being both a Longhorn and an Aggie, with an undergraduate degree in Zoology from the University of Texas at Austin and a DVM from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine.

    Her professional interests include internal medicine, anesthesiology, feline medicine, and diagnostic ultrasound.  She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, the North Central Texas District Veterinary Medical Association, and is on the Board of Directors of the Animal Emergency Center of Temple-Belton.

    Dr. Brown enjoys international travel and is fluent in Spanish.  She lives out in the country with her husband Craig and their three young daughters, twins Anna and Grace, and the youngest Claire.  They share their home with their blue heeler mix Daisy, rottweiler mix Maddie and their cockatiel Piper.

  • Dana Tedesco, DVM

     

    Dr. Tedesco joined the Belton Small Animal Clinic in 2013. Born and raised a Michigan Wolverine, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Michigan and her DVM from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she moved to Austin, Texas for a rigorous internship in small animal emergency medicine and surgery. She spent a year as a wildlife veterinarian in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, working with local wildlife including black bears and bald eagles, before finding her way back to Central Texas.

    Dr. Tedesco’s interests include emerging infectious diseases and wound management. She shares her North Austin home with a dachshund  mix named Olive, a kitty named Sprinkler, and a human named James.  In her free time, she enjoys distance running, vegetarian cooking, and curling up with a good book.

  • Kasandra Hill, DVM


    Dr. Hill joined Belton Small Animal Clinic in August 2014. She grew up in a small town in Southwest Kansas and spent many summers at her grandparents farm in the panhandle of Oklahoma.  Dr. Hill gained a lot of experience working side by side with her grandpa while raising cattle and harvesting wheat.

    Dr. Hill attended Clarendon College for one year to play volleyball and then transferred to Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU).  Here, she continued to play volleyball and graduated with a degree in Biology.  SWOSU is also where she met her future, wonderful husband, Jason.  After graduation, her husband returned to Arlington to start his career in coaching/teaching and Hill attended veterinary school at Kansas State University. Upon graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Hill joined her husband in Arlington.  After two years in Arlington, Jason transferred to Moody High School, where he is coaching football, and Kasandra joined BSAC.

    Dr. Hill's special interests in veterinary medicine include soft tissue surgery and ophthalmology.  The Hill's have a Border Collie mix named Molly Bean and they just added Dexter Dog, a Lab mix, who was abandoned, to their family.

    Dr. Hill enjoys being outdoors, going to the lake, and watching her husband coach at the high school football games.

    Pam joined our clinic as office manager in the fall of 2008.  She enjoys spending time with her husband and two human children as well as her two fourlegged children, Roxy and Bella.

    Sharon began working as a veterinary technician in 2007 and joined our staff in 2008.  She is a history buff and enjoys reading, music and fashion.  She has a special interest in labwork and is responsible for all our lab equipment.

    Chrissy has worked for over 15 years as a veterinary technician.  She joined the staff at Belton Small Animal Clinic in 2009.  Some of her hobbies include sewing, reading, and horseback riding.  The aspect of her job that she enjoys the most is helping owners learn how to keep their pets healthy and helping to treat them when they are sick.

    Deborah began working with us in 2009 and has over 20 years of veterinary experience.  She has a special interest in emergency medicine and likes keeping up with the latest in veterinary medicine.  She enjoys spending time with her family and has a special interest in computers and is frequently found on Facebook.

    Technician

    Candy began working with us in August 2011.  She has over 11 years of experience as a technician.  Candy has two dogs, two cats and a turtle, as well as her two girls.  Her husband is in the Army and stationed at Fort Hood where he works with the Patriot Missile System.  Candy is also continuing her education to earn a degree in Graphic Design.

    Technician

    Stacee is new to the veterinary profession.  She comes to BSAC from the education world.  She graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor with a degree in education.  For fourteen years, she taught science in middle, high school, and was a counselor and a registrar. Stacee has a daughter, Merah, who is very involved in 4-H.  They have 3 dogs, 2 cats, a rabbit and 13 goats.

    Technician

    Robyn joined BSAC the summer of 2014.  She recently moved to the area from Garland, Texas.  Robyn is currently in school for her associates degree in veterinary technology. She is married to her husband of four years and she has two stepdaughters.  She loves to swim, watch movies, listen to  music and also loves date night.  They have a 2 year old pit mix rescue dog who is spoiled and loved.

    Amber joined BSAC as a technician and has been a tech for over 6 ½ years but has been working with animals for 22 years.   Amber is originally from Chandler AZ.  Her special interests in veterinarian medicine include emergencies, surgeries, and diagnostics.  Amber has two daughters, a son, and a dog named Peanut.  In her spare time, she likes to play softball and sleep.

    Brandi is one of our newest staff members. She has always had a love for animals. Growing up, Brandi was nicknamed "Ellie May" since she would try and bring every stray home.     Joyce's favorite time of year is summer because she loves all the water activities and camping. Her favorite pastime is to take as many cruises as possible to the Caribbean.  She enjoys shopping (especially Black Friday) and dining out. Joyce has lived in Belton for 25 years.  She and her husband have two grown kids, 5 dogs and 1 cat.  Joyce has been with BSAC for 5 years and loves interacting with the pets and their owners.

    Jimmie joined Belton Small Animal Clinic mid 2012.  She has over 11 years of experience in the veterinary field.   Jimmie married her high school sweetheart and they have 6 kids.  Two just graduated from high school, three are in high school and a three year old just starting preschool.  They have 2 chihuahuas named Robey and Bella and a mastiff/ridgeback mixed named Honee.  She enjoys shopping and spending time with her family.

    Susan joined Belton Small Animal Clinic in August 2013.  She has worked in the medical field for 14 years.  "Working with four legged friends is new, but exciting", states Susan.  Susan has been married for 16 years, has 2 grown children, 4 grandchildren and a 4 legged son, Will.  Susan enjoys spending time with her family, playing with her grandchildren and taking Will for long walks.

    Jeannie joined BSAC in March 2014.  Jeannie is from Harker Heights and has 2 kids, 3 dogs, 2 cats and 2 horses.  She loves riding her horses whenever she gets the chance.  Jeannie says that she loves being a kennel tech and working with all the various breeds. Jeannie especially loves the larger breeds since she has a Mastiff, a Rottie and a Pyrenees  Welcome Jeannie!

    Kennel Staff

    Senovia  graduated from Harker Heights High School in June 2013.  She plans to attend Texas A&M after completing her undergraduate degree at Central Texas College in Killeen.  Her goal is to pursue the veterinarian field with hopes of getting into A&M’s Vet Program. Senovia would like to specialize in equine care and work with race horses.  While working at BSAC, Senovia hopes to get her CVA and learn more about the day and life of a veterinarian. 

    Senovia has 3 dogs, 2 cats and a fish.  She has always loved animals and has wanted to work with them since she was a little girl. Senovia enjoys sports and other outdoor activities such as camping, reading, movies and hanging out with friends.

    Kennel Staff

    Brad joined BSAC in October of 2013.  He is currently a Junior at Belton High School and is taking the Advanced Vet Tech course.  Brad's love for animals has made him determined to succeed at his job.  He enjoys watching football, being with friends and often mixes the two.  He is very proud to be part of our kennel staff and we are glad to have him be a part of our family.

    Kennel Staff

    Ania joined us in March 2014.  Ania grew up in Austria and moved to Texas in 2000 after meeting her husband, Art, during rescue efforts following an avalanche disaster in 1999.  She is the proud mom of Marcus, Vanessa, Adam and Isabella.  Ania also has 3 dogs and 5 cats.  She loves watching her kids participate in sports and spending quality time with them and her husband. 
    Ania is passionate about animals and their welfare.  She volunteers at animal shelters, foster cats and assists with networking pets in need of rescue.  With Ania's love for animals, she believes a career in the veterinary field is her calling and is starting her road to reach her goals one step at a time...kennel staff, vet tech and then perhaps a Veterinarian.

    Alice is one of our newest staff members.  She is a 2012 graduate of Belton High School.  Alice loves helping animals.  She plans on attending farrier school in Oklahoma and then on to college to become an equine vet tech.  Alice's favorite pasttime is riding her horse and going on trail rides.

    Technician Assistant

    Casey has four years of experience working with animals and has been working for BSAC for three years. During that time, she has worked in the kennel, as a groomer, and currently as a technician assistant. Casey has  eight dogs, including four dachshunds, three yorkies, and a pitbull. She graduated from Harker Heights High School in 2013 and is currently attending Louisianna State University to major in Animal Science with a concentration in pre-veterinary medicine.
